Fall Vaccines at PAD

We wanted to share an update with you regarding the different vaccines that will be available this fall for your children.

Flu Vaccine: Starting the first week of September, we anticipate being able to administer flu vaccines in ouroffice. Once our office has received the vaccine in hand we will notify you through email and social media when the sign-up process for the “Flu Shot” clinics will become available.

COVID Vaccine: An updated COVID vaccine is scheduled to be released in September. However, we are still awaiting guidance to determine whether it will be available for children. Additionally, we are waiting for insurance companies to include this vaccine in their coverage list before making it available in our office. In the meantime, you may consider getting the COVID vaccine at your local pharmacy or health department.

RSV Shot: The RSV shot is not a vaccine but a monoclonal antibody shot that can help prevent RSV. It has received approval for children under 8 months old during RSV season and for high-risk infants aged 8-19 months during RSV season. The availability of this shot is still unknown, as we are waiting for insurance companies to add it to their list of covered medications. We will notify you through email as soon as it becomes available in our office.

Thank you for your patience, and we will keep you updated on any further developments. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office or send a message through our patient portal.
